I'll Be Home for Christmas

This is a short about a hardworking college student, who does not have the ability to go home for Christmas due to money. Living away from home is difficult, but being away from family during Christmas is the worst feeling in the world. Everyone deserves to be happy at Christmas time, and Santa is all about making Christmas miracles happen. Being college students ourselves, we wanted to create a short film that had a lot of personal meaning to us, and other students out there that are just trying to get by. We created this short using Autodesk Maya 2017, ZBrush, Pixar's Renderman and Adobe After Effects. Everything in the scene was modeled and textured using Maya, and rendered using Renderman. We designed an original “Santa” character that was modeled in ZBrush, rigged and animated in Maya. All post-production was done in Adobe After Effects.
