Scope of Program:
Graphic Design students at Union College complete coursework in graphic arts, statistics, history of graphic design, microcomputer applications, digital photography, layout, color, illustration techniques, computer design, web design, pre-press production and publication design. All students participate in an art seminar and create a senior exhibition.
Computing students may choose the Graphic Design/Web Design emphasis. Students in this program focus on computer science, systems analysis and design, networking, Windows administration and security, microcomputer applications, web development, digital imaging, interactive web design, typography, business communications and marketing. All students complete an internship or applied systems development project.
As Union College is affiliated with the Seventh-day Adventist Church, religious studies and worship service attendance are part of each student’s degree program. Merit and need-based scholarships are available. Union College offers church matching grants. All graduates may return for a second tuition-free undergraduate degree two years after graduation.
