"Titmouse"

What does it take to get a job with Titmouse? What is it like working at Titmouse? ACR takes a look:

About Titmouse

What started out as a T-shirt business in early 2000, turned out to be one of Hollywood’s most prolific animation studios. Titmouse Inc. produces animated and other works for big name clients such as Disney, Comedy Central, BET, Adult Swim, ESPN, Nickelodeon, and more. The company is one of the most versatile in the business and creates cartoons for television shows, movies, commercials, theme parks, video games, promos, and the Internet.

According to the company website (www.titmouse.net), Titmouse has a full Pro Tools recording environment for handling multiple actors at once and a full service ADR stage. Artist and animator stations employ the latest Mac, PC and SGI technology, from Maya to Max, Shake to After Effects, Flash to Animo. The company’s edit bays are “fibre optic wired to shared HD storage. We can input or output to full 1080p HDcam SR, digibeta, HDV, DVcam, BluRay and all legacy formats under one roof.”

Titmouse started with only a few employees, but today this full service facility is home to more than 100 talented artists working in more than 50 workstations.

Titmouse Jobs

Titmouse Inc., does not list job openings on its website. However, the company does welcome resumes and portfolios. All you have to do is submit your materials and the position you’re interested in to [email protected]. The company also has an internship program. If interested, please submit your “stuff” to [email protected].

Titmouse Salaries

Salaries for Titmouse employees depend on the position, level of experience, and other factors, but they are competitive within the industry. To give you an idea of what Titmouse might pay certain artists, Glassdoor.com reported a salary range for animation and motion graphics positions. The range was $74,000-$81,000 per year. Again, salaries depend on experience, the position, and other factors.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Los Angeles area is home to nearly 5,000 animators and multi-media artists—the highest in the nation. Animators and multi-media artists here average $76,360 per year. Across the nation, animators and multi-media artists earn a mean annual salary of $63,440.
